Deductible

In the event of an incident, the renter’s deductible is $500.00 USD, including applicable taxes. The deductible for vehicle theft is $750.00 USD, including applicable taxes.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of $300.00–$500.00 USD (depending on vehicle class) is required at the time of pickup. This amount will be authorized and held on your card during the rental period and released within 5–7 business days after the vehicle is returned, provided all rental conditions have been met.

Mileage

Your rental includes unlimited mileage at no additional cost.

Age requirements

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years old. Renters between 21 and 24 years of age may be subject to a young driver surcharge.

Required Documents

A valid driver’s license or passport is required. International renters must present an International Driving Permit (IDP) if their national license is not printed in English.

Payment Methods

The primary driver must present a valid credit card in their own name at pickup, with sufficient available credit to cover the security deposit (which will be held on the card for the duration of the rental).

Debit cards and cash are not accepted for the security deposit.

Coverage

Every rental from Golden Gate Ride & Rentals includes basic protection to give you peace of mind on the road. Our standard coverage offers liability protection for damages or injuries caused to third parties, helping safeguard you financially in the event of an accident. Optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) packages are also available, reducing your financial responsibility for damage to the rental vehicle itself, subject to applicable deductibles and terms.

Renters are encouraged to review their personal auto insurance policy or credit card benefits, as existing coverage may extend to rental vehicles. Final terms, deductibles, and exclusions will be confirmed at the time of booking and may vary depending on vehicle type, rental duration, and driver eligibility.
